Vivian (Richard) Dion

Vivian (Richard) Dion, 94, of Fall River, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024. 

She was the wife of the late Roger A. “Al” Dion. 

She was a communicant of Notre Dame Parish and was a lunch lady at Notre Dame School for many years.  She enjoyed playing Bingo with her sisters and friends. Mom also enjoyed our Sunday evening family gatherings and it was duly noted if you were missing.

Vivian is survived by her children, Edward A. Dion (wife Claire), Denise Dion Thibeault (husband Alan), Thomas R. Dion (wife Mary), and Michael Dion (wife Heidi); grandchildren,Gabrielle Santos (husband Peter), Edward Dion Jr. (wife Amy), Janet Rioux (husband Ronald),  Lauren Tansey Lima (husband Shane), Christopher Tansey, Anne Brown (husband Eric), Laura Dembitzki (husband Treg), Matthew Dion and Holly Dion; great grandchildren,Lucas Dion, Elliot Dion, Jack Rioux, Oliver Rioux, Blake Santos, Savannah Tansey Pires, Olivia Tansey Pires, Meredith Brown and Caroline Brown.   

She was the sister of the late Violet Desmarais, Imelda Pineau, Lucienne Lacroix, Lauretta Gauthier, Sr. Lucille Richard, Evelyn Matton, Doris Berube, Laurie Cote, Armand Richard and Albert Richard. Vivian was the daughter of the late Hilaire and Coelia (Bouchard) Richard. 

A visitation will be held Monday, April 22 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM  at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St, Fall River.

Her Funeral Mass will follow at Holy Trinity Parish, 951 Stafford Rd, Fall River, at 10:00 A.M.

Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.
