Steven Borges

Steven Borges, 44, of Fall River, husband of Linda C. (Carreiro) Borges,passed into eternal rest Tuesday, November 2, 2021, after an illness at Saint Anne’s Hospital. 

Born in Fall River, he was the son of Gertrude (Silvia) Borges of Fall River and the late Vitorino A. Borges.

He was employed as a carpenter and had attended B.M.C. Durfee High School. Steve treasured spending time with his granddaughter Iyanna.

Besides is wife of 28 years and his mother, he leaves two sons, Steven J. Borges and Brennan D. Borges (Fiancée Emily Donaldson) and their daughter Iyanna Borges all of Fall River; three siblings, Victor Borges, Paul Borges and Elizabeth Pollard (husband Ed) all of Fall River; He was also the brother of the late Margaret Mota.

He also leaves his mother-in-law,  Genoveva Carreiro (companion Carlos Silva) of Swansea; brother-in-law Domingos Carreiro, Jr.of Fall River and was the son-in-law of the late Domingos Carreiro, Sr.  Steve also leaves nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.

His funeral will be held Friday, November 5,2021 at 9:00 AM from the funeral home, with a  Funeral Mass at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St. at 10:00 AM.  

Burial, with graveside committal service will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery.
