Serafim Farias

Serafim Martins Farias, 70, of Fall River passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Born in Santa Barbara, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Antonio Bernardo Farias and Maria Do Carmo Martins.

Serafim was employed by Quaker Fabric in Fall River until they closed in 2007, then he was a  landscaper until his retirement. Serafim loved to fish, which he passed down this love to his son and grandchildren. Serafim also loved a great cup of coffee and a good conversation.

Serafim is survived by his daughter, Michelle Farias, his son Jason Farias, his former wife, Zenaide Maria Dasilva, and his grandchildren Bailey and Meela Farias, all of Fall River. 

He also leaves behind his siblings Maria Do Carmo Farias, Isaura Farias, Conceicao Farias, and Joao Farias. Serafim was also the brother of the late Antonio Farias.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main Street, Fall River, MA.    A funeral mass is to follow on the same day at 11:00 am at Saint Anthony of Padua Church located at 48 Sixteenth Street, Fall River, MA. Burial, Oak Grove Cemetery.
