Robert D. Lariviere

Robert (Bob) D. Lariviere, 65, of Westport, husband of  Karen (Watts) Lariviere, passed away at home with his family by his side on Thursday June 9th, 2022.  A graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1977.  Bob was a long-time employee of Lightolier prior to his retirement.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golfing, attending concerts, boating and watersports, and hosting his annual Fourth of July party.  Bob also had an uncanny knack for winning radio contests.

He was the son of the late Rosaire and Alexina (Messier) Lariviere.

Besides his wife of forty years, he leaves two sons, Matthew Lariviere and his husband Christopher Gerlica, and Adam Lariviere and his fiancée Savannah Gardikis;

Siblings, Gerald Lariviere (wife Lize), Therese Rachel (late husband Ronald), Normand Lariviere (wife Denise), Lorraine Gendreau (husband Guy), the late Claudette Woss, and Robin Parent, who Bob loved like a brother. 

He was the son-in-law of Janice (Carreiro) Watts and the late George Watts.  The brother-in-law of Donna (Watts) Hemingway, Cheryl (Watts) Pimental (husband Robert), Michael Watts (wife Lisa), Paul Watts (wife Michele), and Tracy (Watts) Frisone (husband Paul).

He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.  

A visitation will be held Monday June 13th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.  His funeral will be held Tuesday June 14th, at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church, 569 Sanford Road, Westport, at 10:00 AM.  Burial, Beech Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
