Richard Carvalho, Sr. Obituary

Richard A. Carvalho, Sr., 75, of Fall River, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Tufts University Medical Center, Boston.

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late John J. and Hilda (Souza) Carvalho.  Before his retirement, he was employed by Nicosia Development, Boston and was a member of the Painter’s Union.

Richard loved riding his bicycle around the city, Doo Wop music, scratch tickets and spending time with his children and grandchildren.  

He leaves two children, Roxanne DeSousa (husband David) of Dartmouth and Richard A. Carvalho, Jr. (wife Lee-Ann) of Fall River,  his former wife, Janice (Souza) Carvalho (companion Robert Mello) of Dartmouth; two grandchildren, Peyton Vallee and Casey Carvalho; four siblings, Wendy, John and Gary Carvalho and Robin Frias;  He was the brother of the late Sandra Arruda and Jeffrey Carvalho.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2022  from 4:00 PM to  8:00 PM with a funeral service during the visitation at 6:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St., Fall River.

Burial will be private.
