Raymond Mitchell Meleski, Sr.

 Raymond Mitchell Meleski, Sr., 75, of Westport, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

He was the husband of Lisa Marie (Rodrigues) Meleski.

Ray was born in New Alexandria, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Mitchell and Joyce (Mount Pleasant) Meleski.

A Vietnam veteran, Ray served in the Air Force and the Massachusetts Army National Guard.  Ray was employed by Harodite Industries, Taunton.  

He was a member of the Westport VFW Post 8502,  Tiverton VFW Post 5392, where he was Past Senior and Junior Vice Commander, and the American Legion Post 228, Somerset.  

Years ago, Ray was a breeder of Yorkies and Shih Tzu dogs.  He loved his dogs Rocky, Joker, Bella and the late Maggie and Conan. Ray enjoyed spending time with family and friends. 

Besides his wife, he leaves three children, Raymond Meleski, Jr. (wife Holly), Michael Meleski (Katie), and Terry (wife Brandy);

Two stepsons, Gary Arpa, Jr. (companion Eryk Paquette) and Joseph Arpa (girlfriend  Lexi Guay); six grandchildren, Sarah, Jake, Josh, Matthew, Nick and Mack;

a sister, Alissa Berry, nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Diane Latusek.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation which will be held Friday morning from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.  Burial  with military honors will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
