Obituary

Paul “Gator” Lord, 65 of East Freetown, Massachusetts, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023.  He was the husband of Beverly  (Pittsley) Lord. They shared 42 years of marriage.

He was employed as a Supervisor at AAA Recycling.  Previously, Paul was a bridge operator at the New Bedford / Fairhaven Bridge.  Paul loved family time, the outdoors, cornhole, horseshoes and motorcycles.

Paul was an Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War era, earning the rank of PFC.

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of Huguette “Lucille” (Grennon) Lord and the late Philip Paul Lord.

Besides his wife and mother, he leaves three sons, Paul Lord, Jr. (companion Samantha Belong), Brad Lord (wife Ashley) and Brian Lord (companion Sarah Ashley); seven grandchildren, Evan, Lana and Phoenix Lord and James Bourque, Cole Rivet, Nicholas Garcia-Belong and Brody Decambra;

Paul was the brother of the late Bruce Lord.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the American Legion, 80 Myricks St. Berkley, MA 02779.
