Maurice H. Fournier, Sr.

Maurice H. “Moe” Fournier, Sr. 79, of  Swansea, formerly of Fall River passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth “Peaches” (Paiva) Fournier. They shared 60 years of marriage.

He was employed as a manager at Raytheon.

Maurice served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He was his wife’s personal chauffeur while she went shopping.  He enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching the news, going to Dunkin Donuts, taking walks with his youngest son and going to flea markets with his oldest son. He enjoyed Sunday dinners at his daughter's home.

His greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his two granddaughters, Abby and Liv.

Besides his wife, he leaves three children, Maurice H. “Moe” Fournier, Jr.,  Susan F. Aguiar (husband Daniel) and Matthew A. Fournier (wife Ashley); two grandchildren, Abigail Mauriss Aguiar and Olivia Daniel Aguiar; and a brother Bernard Fournier. He was the son of the late Anthony C. and Rosalie “Rose” (Leduc) Fournier
 

Visitation will be held Saturday morning, February 11, 2023 prior to his funeral from 8:15 A.M. to 10:15 A.M. in the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.  

His Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave. Somerset. Burial will be private.
