Mario R. Batista

Mario R. Batista, 59, of Fall River, husband of Lucie (Medeiros) Batista, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018.  He was born in Santa Maria, St. Michael, Azores.

            A manager at Fall River Plumber's Supply for over 30 years, he was an avid golfer and an exceptional bowler. He was a member of multiple bowling teams at AMF Holiday Lanes in Somerset.

            Besides his wife of 38 years, he leaves two sons, Eric Batista and his wife Rachael of Berkley and Wesley Batista and his wife Brittney of Somerset; three grandsons, Zachary, Mason and Wyatt Batista; his father, Viriato Batista of Fall River; four siblings, Jacinto Batista and his wife Marcia of SC, Viriato Batista of New Bedford, Fernando Batista and his wife Ana of Fall River and Anna Cardoza and her husband Antonio of Fairhaven; a godson, Leland Linhares and many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Natalia (Martins) Batista.

            His funeral service will be held Sunday at 7:30 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow.
