Marie E. Sullivan

Marie Elena Sullivan ,CRNA ,passed away October 29, 2021,    after a lengthy illness.  She was born on September 3,1950 in Fall River, MA.

Marie was a graduate of MT. St. Mary Academy, Class of 1968,  Regis College, Weston MA. Class of 1972;  University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth School of Nursing class of 1976, and the Reading Hospital (PA) School of Nurse Anesthesia, class of 1987.

Marie was Chief Nurse Anesthetist  at Salem Hospital (MA) for several years before working at the Lahey Clinic and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Hospital in Boston.

Marie was an active member in the Massachusetts Association of Nurse Anesthetists, having served as treasurer and on various committees over the years.

Marie was a world traveler, and enjoyed living in the Boston area and spending as much time as possible in her Little

Compton home, hosting family and friends get togethers!

Marie leaves behind six brothers, Frederick R. Sullivan (wife Lois) of Tiverton RI, Dr Thomas E. Sullivan (wife Irene) of Beverly, MA, Charles B. Sullivan (wife Carolyn) of Wyomissing, PA and Tiverton RI,Michael G. Sullivan (wife Rachel) of Swansea MA, Gregory W. Sullivan of Fall River, MA and Lawrence J. Sullivan (wife Janice) of San Diego, CA. and many  nieces and nephews, whom she cherished.

Marie was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs Frederick J. and Mary Sullivan.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St. Fall River from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Cathedral of the Assumption, Spring St. at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private.

The family would like to especially thank the staff at Tockwotton on the Waterfront, Memory Care Unit, East Providence, and Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence for the dedicated and compassionate care provided to Marie.
