Maria Conceicao (Freitas) Pavao

              Maria Conceicao (Freitas) Pavao, 87, of Fall River, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, Massachusetts.  She was the wife of the late Jorge “Zola” Pavao, who passed away in 2020.

                     Born in Ajuda da Bretanha, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Freitas and Maria (Raposo) Farias. 

          She was known to enjoy crocheting, cross stitching and traveling.

Maria enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Bebe. 

            She is survived by six children, Mary Ellen Pavao, Mary Lou Machado, Jorge Pavao, Jr., Donna Pavao, Michael Pavao and Kimberly Raposo; a brother, Vincent Freitas; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Antonio Pavao,  grandmother of the late Daniel Michael Machado; sister of the late Maria Pereira and Jorge Freitas; aunt of the late Manuel Antone Pereira.

             Visitation will be held Monday, May 9 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

             Her funeral will be  Tuesday, May 10,  at 9:15 AM from the funeral home, 690 So. Main St., with a Funeral Mass at Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
