Lucille “Lou” (Berube) Santore Caya, 102, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Santore and the late John “Fred” Caya. A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Eugenie (Laroche) Berube.
An employee of the Fall River Gas Company, she retired after 21 years.
A dedicated parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Parish, Lucille served as past president of the Sacred Heart Women’s Guild and past treasurer of Sacred Heart Senior Citizens. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Lucille also volunteered at Charlton Memorial Hospitals Pastoral Care Department.
She was the mother of Jeannette “Jean” Cloutier, Richard J. Santore, Carol A. Rosa, Judith Santore, and the late Phyllis Marchand; step-mother of Jeanne Crockett;
Sister of Beatrice Rowe and the late Collette Fillion, Rita R. Pelchat, Joseph Berube, and Roger Berube. She leaves numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were private.
