Louise L. (Bouchard) Slean

Louise L. (Bouchard) Slean, 90, of Tiverton, formerly of Fall River, wife of 66 years of the late Sgt. William L. Slean, FRPD, Ret., passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, 6 days after her loving husband.

She was formerly employed by Anderson-Little for 32 years until she retired to watch her grandchildren. A devoted Catholic, Louise was an active communicant of Holy Trinity Church, serving as Eucharistic Minister and member of the Women's Guild.
 

She leaves two children, Louise Ann Slean and William L. Slean III (wife Nancy); two grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Frias (husband Joshua) and Brendan Patrick Slean (wife Sarah); three great-grandchildren, Connor Joseph Frias, Norah Tenley Frias and Rory William Slean, who adored their Gma. Louise also leaves three siblings, Pauline Chretien, Cecile Ponte and Arthur Bouchard.

She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Beatrice (Ross) Bouchard. She was the sister of the late Beatrice Madore, Germaine Petit, Juliette Cadrin, Dianne Bouchard and Paul, Alfred, Edward, Henry, Philip and George Bouchard.

Coming from a close family of fourteen children, family always meant everything to Louise. This continued with the love she had for her own children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. William (Bill) and Louise shared an inseparable bond and were surrounded by their loving family until their last days together.

Bill and Louise’s Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd. Fall River. Burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery will be private.
