Joseph C. Arruda

Joseph C. Arruda,  79, of Fall River, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

He is the beloved husband of Maria S. (Matues) Arruda. They were married for over 55 years.

Joseph was employed in the leather industry. He also enjoyed cabinetry and working with his hands. Joseph loved to be outdoors, spending his time fishing and traveling.

Born in Ginetas, Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Jose Cordeiro Arruda and Christina (Miguel) Arruda.

He leaves his four children, Joseph Arruda, Paul Arruda, Tony Arruda and Susan Arruda; his siblings, Antonio Arruda, John Arruda, Goreti Pavao, Maria Balboni and Ann Pacheco; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St. on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 10:00 AM.

Burial will be private.
