Jose C. Casado

Jose C. Casado, 84, of Fall River, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023.

He was the husband of Maria dos Anjos (Moniz-Costa) Casado. They shared 58 years of marriage.

Born in Furnas, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (Sousa) Casado.  

Jose was employed by TPI, Warren, RI.  He was a member of the former Acoriana Band Club.  He was an avid Benfica fan, and served in the Portuguese Army.

Besides his wife, he leaves six children, Fatima Casado Deston (husband the late Brad Deston) of Fall River, Sofia M. Casado Marsella (husband Michael) of Coventry, RI, Aida Casado Ferland (husband Warren) of Westport, Victor Casado (wife Nelia) of Westport, Leonia Casado Pacheco (husband Marc) of Fall River, Richard Casado (wife Rachel) of Somerset and was the father of the late Paul Casado.

He also leaves 8 grandchildren, Brian Caton, Kaitlyn Casado, Jared Ferland, Samantha Ferland, Emily Casado, Ian Casado, Kayla Pacheco and Brennan Casado; 10 great-grandchildren;

three siblings, Maria Conceicao Cabral of Pawtucket, Leonia Madelena of Canada, Manuel Casado of Furnas, Sao Miguel and was the brother of the late Antonio Casado. Jose also leaves many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Monday, May 1, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River. (Barrier-free entrance from the parking lot)

His funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 2 at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M.  Burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
