John L. Boday

John L. Boday, 64, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 6, 2023.

He was the husband of Carol A. (Costa) Boday. They shared 28 years of marriage.

Born in the Azores, John moved here to Fall River with his parents, Jose and Olivia Soares, when he was 7 years old.

John was an employee of Duro Textiles.  He lived to fish and was most happy when he was fishing on the water or from the shorline with his two nephews and his bestfriends,  Michael and Tyler.  When John wasn't fishing, he was enjoying watching his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers.  

In addition to his wife, John was the father of Jonathan Soares and the late Jennifer Soares; the stepfather of Bobbi Boday (late husband Joseph L. "Pete" Sherman), Helena Fernandes (fiancé Eddy DaSilva), Derek Boday and Christian Boday (wife Marian Marques); the brother of Natalia Soares (late husband Mario), Linda Aguiar (husband Manuel), Jose Soares and Carlos Soares (late wife Debbie). John also leaves numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, Saturday, April 15, from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 P.M.  There will be a funeral service during the visitation at 1:30 P.M.
