Jennifer P. (Garant) Paiva

      Jennifer Garant Paiva, 48, of Fall River, MA, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2021 after a long battle with illness. Jennifer was born January 26, 1973 in Fall River. She was raised by her mother Mary Ann (Prato) Palumbo and her late father David Palumbo. She had an older sister Christine (Garant) Schromm and a younger brother Timothy Palumbo. Jennifer grew up in North Dartmouth, MA where she excelled at sports like soccer and field hockey. She enjoyed going roller skating with her friends at Lincoln Park, and dancing her way through the 70’s. She attended North Dartmouth High School. 

​     On March 3, 2002 she was married to Jeremy Paiva (43) with whom she raised her three sons Nathan (27), Noah (20), and Chad (18). She loved being a homemaker and her life was devoted to her family. Her strength, humor, and steadfast loyalty carried her family through times both beautiful and tumultuous. In a recent home video Jennifer said, “My life has been full. Full of joy. Full of sorrows. But how do you know joy if you don’t know the rough times? I’ve had friends that have stood by me, and that’s invaluable in itself. I wouldn’t change that for anything.”

     Jennifer is survived by her husband Jeremy; her son Nathan Walker and his wife Lauren; her sons Noah and Chad Paiva; her mother Mary Ann and her sister Christine. She was predeceased by her father David and her younger brother Timothy.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
