Jeanne (Michaud) Gibeau

Jeanne (Michaud) Gibeau, 83, wife of the late Raymond Gibeau, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021.

            She was employed by Notre Dame Federal Community Credit Union for 40 + years as a teller and then as a data processor before retiring in 1999. She loved to travel to Virginia Beach to visit friends and also liked to visit Atlantic City. She enjoyed dancing to 60’s music with her friends and going for drives to Cape Cod and Newport for picnics.  Playing computer games and bowling were among some of her favorite things to do and also taking care of her fur babies.

            Besides being our Mom, she was our angel.  She never judged and never gave up on her family or herself.  She will always live in our hearts.  

            She is survived by four children, Liane Canuel (husband Paul), sons, Ronald Gibeau, Paul Gibeau and David Gibeau all of Fall River; 4 grandchildren; Ronald Jr., Harmonie, David Jr. and Bryanna; and one great-granddaughter, Gianna. She was the sister of Paul Michaud, Roland Michaud, Vivian Moniz and the late Leo Michaud and sister-in-law of Doris Werbicki.  She was the daughter of the late Oscar Michaud and Eva (Bussiere) Michaud.   She was also the companion of  Raymond Laliberte.  She leaves behind several nieces and nephews.                 

            A visitation will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a funeral service at 11:30 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St. Fall River. Burial immediately following at Notre Dame Cemetery. Face coverings and social distancing required.
