Janis Lynn (Akers) Botelho

Janis L. (Akers) Botelho, 73, of Fall River, wife of the late Manuel Botelho, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021.

            She was a US Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War and was very patriotic and proud of her country. She loved readings, Dunkin Donuts coffee, watching Walker Texas Ranger movies, fishing and shopping at Vera Bradley. She went to the Gen Center Adult Daycare for nine years and met her best friend Doris Hamilton. Janis will be remembered for her generous and kind heart.

            She leaves three children, Patricia Deleon-Blair (husband Lee) of Fall River, Debra Botelho of CA and David Botelho (wife Tiffany) of CA; grandchildren, Janessa Deleon, Nicholas Blair, Amelia Botelho and Gracelynn Botelho; a sister, Carol Kulesza (husband Stanley) and nieces and nephews, Cindy, Adam, Brian, Tim, Emily, David and Mindy and their families and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Berard (husband Paul). She was the daughter of the late Robert and Harriet (Dupuy) Akers.

            Private funeral arrangements entrusted to the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Janis will eventually be laid to rest at Riverside Veteran's Cemetery, CA.
