Helen (Thibault) Mello

Helen "Lil" Lillian (Thibault) Mello, 91, passed away peacefully amongst family at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

Helen was born in Swansea Massachusetts on February 04, 1931. She was employed by the former Haskon Aerospace in Taunton as an inspector for the majority of her career. Throughout her entire life she unselfishly dedicated herself by providing support to her family in any way that she could imagine. Her selflessness made it so that she served as an anchor of stability to many around her. In the last peaceful years of her life she enjoyed simple things such as feeding her "friends" the birds and squirrels, her daily scratch ticket, the occasional fish and chips, baking her staple desserts and posing for silly pictures to make her family laugh. She was known in her community as a giving person with a boundless heart that would frequently try to give to others in their times of need.

Helen was the mother of Darlene Jennings of Florida and Lori Soares of Fall River and the late Robert Mello; the sister of Doris Fontaine of Somerset; the grandmother of Rev Jay Mello, Cory Mello, Alan Mello and Joel Tavares; the great grandmother of Aidan Mello and Cory Mello Jr.; the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Ann (Guillmette) Thibault. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by ten siblings. 

A Christian Mass will be held Friday, September 30 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Church, 351 Stafford Rd. Fall River. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
