Gregory Aronis

Gregory John Aronis, age 71,of Tiverton, RI, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 22,2021. Gregory is now joined with the love of his life, his late wife of common law, Gail Ann Rogers, formerly of Tiverton, RI. Gregory was born in Springfield, MA under the name of Laurent Robinson, on May 15, 1950 and adopted by John Aronis and Anastasia Albany Aronis of Tiverton RI.

Gregory is survived by three stepchildren, Nicole Bernardo and husband Manuel, Brenton Rogers, and Kristin Homen and husband Gregory, of Fall River, MA, cousins Susan Plonka and husband Mitchell of Lakeville, MA, Joanne Aronis of Nashvile, TN, Christine Pitleangus and husband Saki of Lincoln RI, and Valeda Enwright of Lincoln RI, as well as many friends, especially his close and dear friend Barry Silkowski of Mansfield, CT of whom he spoke very highly of. Gregory was an artist and painted with oil and he enjoyed putting together 3-dimensional collages. He was a member of the Greater Fall River Art Association where he held many showings of his work. Gregory was a talented guitar player and vocalist. He enjoyed playing the guitar with Barry who is a drummer. Gregory loved to bike ride and go on hikes in Fort Barton. In addition to his artwork commissions, Gregory worked in retail including Walmart and recently Carters Clothing in Fall River where he made some great friends. Gregory loved to collect various stones, comic books, old books, DVDs, and antiques. He enjoyed gardening, photography, and listening to Rock and Roll music. His favorite music group was the Beatles. Gregory was also interested and intrigued by extra-terrestrials and the paranormal.

Gregory was a wonderful human being and will be missed dearly. Although he is no longer here physically on earth, his name and his artwork will live on forever. His art is currently on display at the Tiverton Library and the Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton.

We would like to thank the staff at Preferred Healthcare Services, Visiting Nurse Home & and Hospice and Nursing Placement for providing exceptional around the clock care for Gregory.  It was truly an honor to have you all as part of Gregory’s Care Team.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at Holy Ghost Church, Judson St. Tiverton, RI on July 8 at 9:00 A.M. Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you donate art supplies to your local elementary school in Gregory's memory.
