Gilbert LaFleur, Sr.

Gilbert LaFleur, Sr., 90, of Borden Place West, Fall River, husband of Dorothy (Gillett) LaFleur, passed away  Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

He was employed by Wheaton College.  An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of D.A.V., Chapter 9, Fall River.

His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He loved animals and gardening.

Besides his wife of 68 years, he leaves children, George H. LaFleur (wife Donna), Brian LaFleur, Sr. (wife Margaret), Colleen Pavao (husband Tony), Patricia Pavao (husband Joe), Judith Marchand and June LaFleur; grandchildren, Christopher, Jason, Reneé, Sheri, Joshua, Brian Jr., Jenna, Brittany, Andrew, Elise, Derek, Michael, Jacob and Jonathan.

great-grandchildren, Ethan, Cayden, Sadie, Sophia, Samuel, Brady, Lily, Colton and Charlie ;nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Michael LaFleur and Gilbert LaFleur, Jr; great-grandfather of the late Scarlet Rose Oliveira; brother of the late Anna LaFleur and Alice Stepen; son of the late Philip and Alice (LaDoucer) LaFleur.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 4th, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with a Funeral Service in the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, at 11:00 A.M. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery.
