Elaine (Carreiro) Clark,RN,88, of Rockledge, FL, formerly of Tiverton, RI, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021.
A graduate of Union Hospital School of Nursing, she also attended the University of Rhode Island. Elaine was employed by the State Department, the Washington Post, Northern Virginia Training Center, and the Veteran Administration.
A Vietnam veteran, Elaine served over 10 years in the US Navy, earning the rank of Lt. Commander.
Elaine’s hobbies included playing Bridge, cross-stitching, and reading books.
She was the mother of Chris Clark and Jonathan W. Clark and the late Terri L. Taylor; the sister of Barbara Goncalo, and the late Edward Carreiro, Alice Carter, Margaret Machado; former spouse of David W. Clark; aunt of 8 nephews and 7 nieces. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Freitas) Carreiro;
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 6, at Holy Ghost Church, Judson St. Tiverton, at 10:30 A.M. followed by a burial at Pocasset Hill Cemetery.
