Dorothy (Cardoza) Gallant, 89, of Somerset, formerly of New Bedford, wife of the late Camille Gallant, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 due to complications of COVID-19.

She was a wonderful mother and lived for her grandchildren.

She leaves two daughters, Susan Ferreira (husband Abel) of Tiverton and Cynthia Gordon (husband Thomas) of Monument Beach; five grandchildren, Dawn Fontes, Thomas Gordon, Jr., Kevin Gordon, Shawn Gordon and Connor Gordon; three great-grandsons, Christopher Ferreira, Beckham Gordon and Cruz Gordon; two sisters, Delores Leger and Irene Chausse, both of New Bedford and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel Cardoza, Jr., James Cardoza, Joseph Cardoza, Mary Chevalier, Rose Gonsalves, Alice Cardoza and Daniel Cardoza and the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Teixeira) Cardoza.

Private funeral arrangements due to COVID-19 are entrusted to the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
