Donna Rae (Regan) Benevides

Donna Rae (Regan) Benevides, 65, of Portsmouth, formerly of Fall River, MA passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021, at home with her family by her side. 

Donna spent a career in the health care field. She initially worked as a lab technologist in Boston, Fall River and New Bedford, and later managed a laboratory and a neurology practice in New Bedford. She later became a medical coding analyst and last worked in physician compliance for Southcoast Hospitals before her retirement.

Donna was an avid lover of nature and animals. She loved the beach, camping by the ocean, traveling and books. She was devoted to her family and close friends, loved to laugh, and watch sunsets and sailboats from her home in Common Fence Pt. To the very end, Donna was a beacon of encouragement to everyone in her life.  

Donna was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Pauline M. (Breault) Regan. She leaves behind her children Adam Benevides (wife Amanda) and Heather Nivison (husband Matthew); her former husband, Rick Benevides; her grandchildren Emma, Ella, and Jameson Nivison; sister Carol (Regan) Paquette; niece Cheri Baron and nephew Jeffrey Bowers.

In lieu of any flowers, the family would prefer donations be made on her behalf to Forever Paws in Fall River.
