Daniel R. "Danny" Barbosa

Daniel R. “Danny” Barbosa, 74, of Fall River, husband of Margarida (Costa) Barbosa,  passed away Monday, February 27, 2023.

Born in Lomba da Cruz, Fazenda de Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of Valentina (Raposo) Barbosa and the late Joaquim Barbosa.

He was employed as a processing engineer for Chase Coating & Laminating and Mann Industries.

Daniel enjoyed gardening, Sunday lunches  with his daughters and family, and spending time with his dog Murphy. 

Besides his wife of 53 years and his mother, he leaves two daughters, Sandra Melo  (husband Michael) and Ashley Barbosa; siblings, Antero “Ted” Barbosa (wife Esmenia) and Judy Vidinha (husband José) and he was the brother of the late Maria Alice Barbosa.  He also leaves nieces and nephews and his three special little ones, Kinsley, Troy, and, Nico.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Sunday from 4 PM to 8 PM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St. Fall River. 

His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 AM.  Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
