Beverly Ann (Mersey) Ainsworth

          Beverly Ann (Mersey) Ainsworth, 85, of Westport, wife of Russell F. Ainsworth, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021.  A Navy veteran of the Korean War, she was employed as a bookkeeper for most of her life. She enjoyed cooking and baking for the family.  Her pastimes included reading murder mysteries, especially Agatha Christie novels, visiting the casino and lottery tickets. Always known as a sharp dresser, Beverly loved to dress up in color coordinated outfits.

          Besides her husband of 50 years, she leaves three daughters, JoAnn Hetzler, Jeannette Niles and Jennifer Conway; eight grandchildren, Joshua Hetzler, Bethany Hetzler, Megan Hetzler, Daniel Hetzler, Douglas Niles, Jeffrey Niles, Emily Conway and Stephanie Sanchez; a sister,Marjorie Cadoret and many great-grandchildren.

          Beverly was the mother of the late John K. Sipple, Jr.; the sister of the late Fred Mersey, Robert Mersey, Edward Mersey and Eleanor Graham and was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Ann (Malady) Mersey.  

          A visitation will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, MA.
