Arlene (Bishop) Benevides

Arlene (Bishop) Benevides, 88, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

She was the wife of the late Richard P. Benevides and the daughter of the late Mariano S. Bishop and Mary (Souza) Bishop. She was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and worked as an executive secretary for Louis Hand Mfg.

Arlene loved baking, cooking and spending time with family.  She enjoyed giving to others, especially  to charities.

She leaves two children, Ricardo F. Benevides (companion Ines Bates) and Susan Gadoury (husband Michael); three grandchildren, Adam Benevides (wife Amanda), Heather Nivison (husband Matthew) and Benjamin Gadoury; three great-grandchildren, Ella Rae Nivison, Jameson Nivison and Regan Charlie Benevides;

a sister, Elaine Rutkowski.  She was the sister of the late Doris Mae Desrosiers. 

Her visitation will be held Tuesday, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service at 11: 00 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St., Fall River.

Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
