Antonio José Moniz

Antonio José Moniz, 87, of Fall River, passed away August 23, 2022. He worked for years as a meat cutter for N.E.P. and retired from Far Industries. 
He was the husband of Maria DaConceicao (Rodrigues) Moniz. 

Born in Ponta Garça, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Jose Moniz and Maria (Nascimente) DeMedeiros. 

 Antonio was a member of Good Shepherd Church. His Hobbies included working in his garden, fishing, spending time with his dog, Roxy, and family.  

In Addition to his wife of (56) years, he is survived by his daughter, Maria A. Novo (husband John M. Novo); grandchildren, Jonathan J. Novo, Larissa J. Novo, Jacob J. Novo; and his brother, Jose Gabriel Moniz. 

In addition to his parents, Antonio is predeceased by his siblings, Jose Moniz DeMedeiros, Eduardo Moniz DeMedeiros, and Alice DeMedeiros. 

Visitation will be held Friday, August 26, 2022, at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Good Shepherd Church, South Main St.  at 11:00  AM. Burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
