Antero C. Oliveira

Antero C. Oliveira, 87, of Fall River, husband of Liberta (Braga DaSilva) Oliveira, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

          Born in Feteiras da Sul, São Miguel, Açores, he served in the Portuguese Army. He was employed by Lexcraft Manufacturing and was the foreman of shipping and receiving. He was Benfica fan and loved watching soccer games and also loved spending time with his family.

          Besides his wife of 64 years, he leaves two children, Filomena Amaral (husband Virgil) and Lurdes Pavao (husband Dario); five grandchildren, Jocylen Cardoso (husband Joshua), Joshua Amaral (wife Tina), Jenna Paiva (husband David), Derek Pavao (wife Kelly) and Nicole Pavao; ten great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob, Lucas, Ethan, Evan, Kaylin, Rylee, Skylah, Kelsie, and Jameson; a sister Lurdes Machado; two sisters-in-law, Olga Oliveira and Fatima Oliveira and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Norman Oliveira and Manuel Oliveira, the brother-in-law of the late Antonio Machado and the son of the late Jose and Maria (Ferreira) Oliveira.

          The family is grateful to SouthCoast VNA/Hospice Staff for their compassionate services.

          His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Santo Christo Church. Burial, St. Patrick's Cemetery.
