Anibal F. Silva, 88, of Fall River, husband of the late Alda (Viveiros) Silva, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022.
Born in Fenais da Luz, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late José F. and Mariana Rego Alberto Silva.
A construction worker, Anibal was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America Local 610.
Anibal enjoyed breeding canaries and parakeets. He was a Boston Bruins fan, loved the casino’s and scratch tickets and was a member of Our Lady of Light Band Club, Fall River. He played the clarinet in the band and enjoyed spending time with family.
He leaves two daughters, Lois Chouinard (husband David) and Gina Mendonca (fiancé Brad Camara); two granddaughters, Nicole Saikali (husband Christopher) and Mallory Farrell (husband Timothy); three great-grandchildren, Maya Farrell , Jackson and Emma Saikali; two sisters, Celia Sousa and Eduarda Costa. He was the brother of the late Noemia F. Sousa, Elmira Cabral, Jose Silva and Noe Silva.
Visitation for family and close friends will be held Tuesday morning, December 6, from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River. His Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM at St.George Church, Highland Ave. Westport.
Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
