William J. Taylor, 82, of Fall River, a retired Fall River Fire Fighter, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025. 

Born in Fall River, William was the son of Doris (Rogers) and Joseph L. Taylor. 

William devoted many years to service as a firefighter in Fall River, where he was known for his bravery, commitment, and camaraderie. His fellow firefighters admired his work ethic and his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed. After a fulfilling career, he embraced retirement with the same passion and dedication that characterized his professional life.

William was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. William was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in Tiverton. His engagement with this organization reflected his respect for those who served in the military and his desire to support veterans within his community. In his earlier years, William found joy in the great outdoors, indulging in hobbies such as hunting and fishing. These pursuits allowed him to appreciate nature and forge lasting memories with family and friends.

Additionally, William had enjoyed visiting the casino, where he enjoyed the thrill of the games and the company of his companions. His zest for life and the moments he cherished will be remembered by those who knew him well.

William is survived by his son, Lee Harrison; his brother, Robert L. Taylor; and his nephews, James Taylor, Gary Taylor (wife Mia) and their son Christian. They, along with many others whose lives were positively impacted by William's kindness and friendship, will carry fond memories of him into the future.
