Wender Gomes

Wender Gomes, 67, of Fall River, formerly of  Governador Valadares, Brazil, passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River Friday, March 4, 2022.

He was the husband of Edna (Mendes) Gomes.

Born in Brazil, he was the son of Oswaldo and Magnolia (Ferreira) of Brazil.

A talented carpenter, Wender had a passion and great love for his family and grandchildren.  He loved watching soccer, especially his home team, Clube Atlético Mineiro from Brazil. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family and fishing.

Besides his wife of 43 years and his parents, Wender leaves behind a son, Wilbriner M. Gomes (wife Viviane); a daughter, Kyscilla Ferreira (husband Paulo); five grandchildren, Victoria and Vivian Silva, Maria Paula Ferreira, Pedro Arthur Gomes and Marianna Gomes; four siblings, Oswaldo Gomes, Jr., Wildimark Gomes, Oswaldina Gomes and Wilma Silveira.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM with a funeral service at 11:30 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, MA.

Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Prospect St. Fall River following.
