Thomas J. Holderness, Jr.

Thomas J. Holderness, Jr., 70, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025. He was the loving husband of Brenda (Burton) Holderness. 

Born in Fall River, Thomas was the son of the late Thomas J. Holderness, Sr. and Helen R. (Martin) Holderness. 

An avid reader, he spent many evenings engrossed in the pages of books, often finding solace and adventure within the written word. Alongside his love for literature, Thomas had a deep appreciation for music, particularly enjoying the soulful sounds of rock 'n' roll. One of his favorite songs was “Desperado” by the Eagles, a tune that resonated with him and often played in the background of his cherished moments.

Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter, Amy Ferreira (husband Derek), his son, Thomas J. Holderness, III; his beloved grandsons, Landen Cardoso, Jason Cardoso, and Ian Cardoso; his sister, Nancy R. Moore (husband Craig); his nephews, Stephen Lafond, Mitchell Lafond; his aunt, Virginia Martin; a great niece, a great nephew, and several cousins. 

Though Thomas has left this world, his spirit will endure through the love he shared and the memories he created with his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and he will be remembered with love and admiration.
