Theresa "Terry" (Mercier) Marcoux

Theresa “Terry” (Mercier) Marcoux, 91, of Fall River, wife of the late Leo J. Marcoux, passed away on June 20, 2026.

For many years she worked in the Fall River Knitting Mills and was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union. Her most recent place of work was Precision Handling Incorporated.

Theresa was a member of the Women's Guild within the Catholic Diocese and was a devout Catholic. She was also a member of the Dover Auxiliary Club, and the Dover Club Bowling League.

Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her beloved family. She also found joy in playing cards, bowling, dice games, casino trips, and watching the Boston Red Sox.

She leaves her children, Patricia A. LeClerc (husband Richard), Vivian Brizido (late husband Joseph), James N. Marcoux (companion Gina DeMello), Michelle Y. Barresi (husband Jay), and she was the mother of the late Thomas L. Marcoux and Mark H. Marcoux, FRFD; her grandchildren, Beth, Derek, Kim, Cindy, Nicholas, Brittany, Theodore and Mark; 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was the grandmother of the late Melissa Marcoux; sister of the late Eveline, Patrick, Arthur, Robert, Roger, Henry, Normand, and Paul.

Daughter of the late Leonard and Lucienne (Simoneau) Mercier.

Visitation at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, Thursday, June 25, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 26, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anthony of the Desert Church, Fall River. MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH.
