Steven J. Farias

Steven J. Farias, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the age of 70.

Born on January 30, 1955, he was the son of Lorna (Cunha) and Joseph Pedro Farias.

Steven enjoyed spending his leisure time engaged in the great outdoors, with fishing and camping being among his favorite pastimes. These activities were not only sources of joy for him but were occasions where he cultivated and strengthened the bonds of family and friendship. He enjoyed having a booth at Route 177 Flea Market on the weekends. Steven found enjoyment in watching his grandson Jacob play sports, never missing a game.

His love for animals was evident in his deep affection for his cats, who brought warmth and companionship into his life. However, above all else, Steven cherished his time with his family, especially his daughter Leslie, her wife Anne and his grandson Jacob, who were the lights of his life.

He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Farias (wife Anne), and his adored grandson, Jacob Farias; his sisters, Elaine Cook, Doris Alix, and Darlene Medeiros, as well as his sister-in-law, Paulette Farias and his godson, Michael Farias, who cared for him in his final days and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph P. Farias Jr., Joan Stanley, Cheryl White.

Steven J. Farias will be remembered not only for his skilled craftsmanship but also for his generous spirit and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy will continue to thrive in the hearts of his family and friends, who will carry forward the memories of a remarkable man.

Steven's Visitation will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St.
