Stephen J. Darcy

Stephen J. Darcy, 72, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025. 

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Helen (Crossley) and Edward F. Darcy. 

Stephen devoted thirty years of his life to working at Stop & Shop in Fall River, where he was known for his hard work and commitment to serving the community. He received his Bachelor’s degree in English from Providence College, an achievement that reflected his passion for learning and the written word.

An avid New England sports fan, Stephen found joy in cheering for his favorite teams and shared this enthusiasm with those around him. Music was another profound joy in his life, and he reveled in all genres, often finding solace and happiness through the melodies that filled his home. However, it was his family that brought him the greatest joy. He cherished spending time with them, creating memories that will forever be held close to their hearts.

Stephen is survived by his beloved siblings: Edward F. Darcy Jr., Paul Darcy (wife Joyce), Jane Darcy, Thomas Darcy (wife Eloisa), John Darcy, Dan Darcy, and Joan Valcourt (husband Vaughn). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who held a special place in his life.

Stephen's Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Good Shepard Parish, 1598 S. Main St.  

Burial is Private 

He will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love, passion, and unwavering support will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
