Sharon Lee Cogliano

Dec 23, 1950 — Aug 22, 2026

Franklin

Sharon Lee “Chev” (Guimond) Cogliano, age 75, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Francis D. Cogliano and by her treasured daughter, Shannyn (Hardy) MacPherson.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Omer F. and Rita (Byrne) Guimond.

Sharon worked for many years as a registered nurse at Brockton Hospital Signature Health Care as a scrub nurse alongside her late husband. She was a very creative person who loved gardening, sewing, reading, photography, and making stained glass. Sharon was also known for her generosity towards all those around her – often giving more than she ever received.

She remained upbeat, even while battling a long-time muscular illness. She displayed a resiliency that was born of strength and grace, and was evident to all who surrounded her.

Sharon carried the unexpected loss of her daughter, Shannyn, throughout the remainder of her life. Though she will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all those left behind, comfort can be found in knowing they have been reunited eternally.

Sharon is survived by her sister, Paula A. Monte of Fall River; her brother, Kevin and his wife Deborah Guimond of Swansea; her niece, Lindsey and her husband Brian Ferreira of Swansea; two great-nieces, Callie and Kendall Ferreira, and one great-nephew, Cole Ferreira; step-children, Tina Fleet and Chip Smith; and her son-in-law, Brad and his wife Molly MacPherson, and their children, June, Bruce, and Ellen; along with many cherished Gagnon cousins and Smith relatives. Sharon was also an aunt to the late Peter Monte.

Arrangements will be held privately.
