Serafim C. Carneiro

Serafim C. Carneiro, 95, of Fall River, husband of the late Maria José (Melo) Carneiro, entered into rest Friday, September 23, 2022.

In Portugal, Serafim was a farmer and winemaker, and especially loved grapevines. He was a hard worker and provider for his children. He was loved by his family and always cherished time spent with them. In his freetime, he enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right; scratch tickets, playing cards, and gardening.

He leaves seven children, Eduarda Carneiro  (husband Jose), Antonio C. Costa (wife Lidia), Barbara Medeiros (husband Tony), John Costa (wife Nicole),  Joe Costa (wife Karen), Peter Costa (wife Donaria) and Ana Costa (fiancé Erick Giron); grandchildren, Diane, Nevin, Katya, Erika, Jacob, Nick, Emma, Aiden, Giana; a great-grandson, Darian, Rosalina, and Madalena; and nieces and nephews.

He was father of the late Antone Jose and the son of the late Francisco Costa Carneiro and Rosalina Pedro (Franco) Carneiro; and the brother of the late Manuel, Jose, Francisco, Antone, Tomas, Ines, Abel, Joao, and Carlos Carneiro.

His funeral will be held Saturday, October 1, at 7:45 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Santo Christo Church at 9:00 a.m. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Friday, September 30 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
