Robert L. Nadeau, Sr., of Swansea, passed away on July 4, 2026, Born in Fall River on January 10, 1946, Robert’s life was characterized by his dedication to his family, community, and country.
Robert served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Technical Sergeant (TSGT). His military service highlighted his commitment and courage, qualities that became hallmarks of his character. Following his honorable service, Robert dedicated 25 years as a Correctional Officer at MCI Norfolk.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Lucia Morgan, and his sons, Michael Nadeau, his wife Jennifer and Robert L. Nadeau Jr., his wife Nicole; grandchildren: Michael R. Nadeau, Jr., Kaylie A. Nadeau, Raiden Nadeau, Stella Nadeau, and Elliott Nadeau, great-grandson Michael R. Nadeau III. His niece, Monique Nadeau, her wife, Alicia DeCosta.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, remembered fondly by his family and countless friends, many of whom loved him as one of their own.
He especially cherished the moments spent cooking for them, creating memories and traditions that will be treasured for generations.
Robert is also remembered for his many talents and interests. As a handyman and craftsman, he applied his skills to countless projects, always willing to lend a hand when needed. A sportsman and firearm enthusiast, Robert admired nature and embraced the outdoors, rarely content to stand still. His appreciation for the simple pleasures of life and the beauty of the natural world was evident to all who knew him.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2045, Swansea, and the American Legion, Post 303, in Swansea.
Robert was the brother of the late Morris P. Nadeau and Lucille Eckeersley; and the son of the late Robert Pierre Nadeau and Alice (Bigras) Nadeau.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, July 27 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the Auclair Funeral Home.
Burial to follow with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 1:45 PM.
