Robert R. Banville

Robert R. "Bob" Banville, 80, of Sebastian St., Somerset, died Friday, December 1, 2006 at Caritas Norwood Hospital. He was the husband of Rita S. (Lanciault) Banville. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Edme and Emma (Raymond) Banville, he lived in Somerset for the past 48 years. A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and Navy veteran of WW II, he was employed by Cox Steel, Fall River and the Town of Somerset Highway Department. He enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles and played CYO and Durfee High School baseball and for the Fall River Indians. Besides his wife of 59 years, he is survived by nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late David R. Banville and the brother of the late George Banville and Roland Banville. His funeral will be held Monday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Louis de France Church, Swansea at 9:00 AM. Visitation, Sunday 3:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance located at the rear of funeral home.
