Roanld R. Rego

Ronald “Ron” Rego, age 83, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts.

He was born on July 1943, in Fall River, MA, a son of the late John and Irene (Sylvia) Rego.

Ron served his country in the United States Army, serving one tour of duty during the Vietnam War and thereafter returning to Fall River, MA, later settling in Assonet MA, where he raised his son and has lived for over 40 years. He was a machine assembler for most of his professional career and enjoyed flying his model planes, playing cards, and other games, such as darts, which he enjoyed as hobbies in his spare time.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Richard, William, and Edward, and his sister Carol.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eileen (August) Rego of Assonet, MA, and his son, Steven Rego of Taunton, MA, with his wife Simone (Laferriere) Rego, and his grandson, Ethan Rego, along with many more family members and friends who will miss him.

At the family’s request, there will be a private service only at this time.
