Rita C. Jankowski

Rita (Harrison) Jankowski, 89, of Somerset, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 at Clifton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Jankowski, Jr., They shared 66 wonderful years of marriage.

Rita enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, playing cards and games. She treasured her time with the love of her life, Joe, traveling, and enjoying their life together.

She was a warm and vibrant presence, known for her ability to make friends easily, particularly during her time at Clifton Assisted Living and Clifton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Her engaging personality and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She was a member of the Classy Ladies and The Retail Club. She loved watching her favorite shows on the Hallmark Channel, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and Dancing With the Stars.

Rita leaves three sons, Paul Jankowski (partner Norris Brown); Brian Jankowski (wife Kimberly) and their children, Logan, Kaitlyn and Athena Jankowski; and Steven Jankowski (wife Kendra) and their daughters Alexis and Madison Jankowski; two sisters, Doris Audette (late husband Paul) and Diane Pavao (husband Tony) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jeannette Galland and the daughter of the late Yvonne (Dube) Harrison and Adrien Harrison.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 26 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S.Main St. Fall River.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, September 27, at 8:45 AM from the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass at Saint Louis de France Church, 56 Buffinton St, Swansea, at 10:00 AM.

Burial will follow the funeral at Notre Dame Cemetery.
