Rene J. Garant

Rene J. Garant, 84, of President Ave., Fall River, husband of Theresa (Desilets) Garant, died Saturday, July 28, 2007. A Navy veteran of WW II, he worked in research and development for Harvey Probber Inc. for many years. Besides his wife of 58 years, survivors include a daughter, Lynn J. Garant and a sister, Dorothy Greenwood, both of Fall River. He was the son of the late Joseph and Victoria (Thibeault) Garant and the brother of the late Rita Burdick DeSa, Evelyn Bibeau and Therese Hanley. His funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 11:30 AM in Holy Name Church. Cremation to follow. Flowers and visitation omitted.
