Raymond N. Braz, 51, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends on Friday, August 9, 2013. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Raymond Braz of Somerset and the late Fannie Braz of Fall River. He was a devoted son, father, grandfather and friend. Ray enjoyed watching sports and was an avid New England sports fan. He was an exceptional pool and chess player, both of which he earned trophies for in the past. Throughout Ray's life, he exhibited such hope and determination with his positive outlook. He had the biggest smile that was truly infectious to all that knew him and surrounded him. Ray leaves behind his daughter Ashley (Braz) Sousa, her husband James, and his 15 month old grandson Noah of Somerset. He also leaves behind his close friends and caregivers Paul and Therese Bernier and their three daughters. In addition to his family he leaves behind his close Personal Care Attendants Gary and Jane Soares and their children; PCA Linda Franco, and many others who were devoted in helping him throughout the years. Ray is survived by his uncles Norman, Henry, John, Donald, and George Breault. He will be joining in eternal life with his late Mother Fannie, Grandmother Mary Breault, Aunt Anna Fillion and Uncle Frank Breault, all of who Ray loved dearly. A memorial service at which all family and friends are invited to attend will be held Monday morning, August 19, at 9:00 AM at Master Builder Ministries, 397 Bay St. Fall River, MA. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery. In honor of Ray's life, donations can be made to: Master Builder Ministries for Operation Christmas Children, 397 Bay St., Fall River, MA 02724.
