Raymond R. Arruda

Raymond R. Arruda, 82, of Windwood Drive, Tiverton, formerly of Fall River and Swansea, husband of the late Doris L. (Mello) Arruda, died Monday, August 24, 2009. A Coast Guard veteran of WW II, he and his late wife owned and operated A & A Bookkeeping Service for many years and was employed by Mason's Furniture, Alpert's Furniture, Modern Galleries and Red Velvet Florists. He leaves a daughter, Dale Marchand and her husband Steve of Tiverton; a granddaughter, Jennifer Copithorne and her husband Mark of Webster, MA and a great-granddaughter, Isabella Sadie Copithorne. He was the son of the late Jesse and Helen (Rocha) Arruda and the brother of the late Leonard Arruda and William Freitas. Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held Wednesday, September 2, at 10:00 AM in St. Theresa Church Tiverton. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation and flowers omitted.
