Pedro M. Benevides

Pedro M. Benevides, 52, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. He was born in Ramalho, Sao Miguel, Azores. He was the husband of Sandra M. (Bento) Benevides.

Pedro was employed by Tichon Seafood in New Bedford.

He was deeply rooted in his heritage, often traveling back to his home country to visit friends and relatives. Pedro’s personality was marked by his affection for his beloved cats, which brought him great joy. He had diverse interests, from playing cards and dominoes to enjoying the thrill of the casino. In addition, he was an avid sports fan, passionately following football and soccer. 

Besides his wife of 32 years, he leaves his son, Alex J. Benevides and daughter, Savanna M. Benevides, who were his pride and joy. 

Pedro is survived by his wife, Sandra, his children, Alex and Savanna, and his parents, Fernando and Juvenalia (Sousa) Benevides. He also leaves his siblings: Jose Fernando Benevides, Maria Helen Silva, Jorge Benevides, Debora Sidky, and Hiza Benevides, as well as many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Pedro was the brother of the late Rui Benevides.

Visitation will be held at Auclair Funeral Home in Fall River, MA, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a funeral service during the visitation, at 6:30 PM.
