Pauline D. (Bouchard) Chretien, 90, of Little Compton, wife of the late Ernest A. "Ernie" Chretien, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
Pauline attended Jesus Mary Academy in Fall River. She grew up in the Fall River area but spent most of her adult life in Little Compton raising her family.
Pauline was employed over the years by Anderson Little, the Fall River Herald News, and UMass Dartmouth.
A devoted Catholic and dedicated mother, Pauline’s faith guided her decisions and how she raised her family. She was a kind and thoughtful person who always put her family first. She especially treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, who gave her joy and brightened her days.
Pauline loved traveling with her husband. They were fortunate to visit many interesting places together and truly enjoyed each other’s company.
She leaves 3 children, Ernest M. Chretien (wife Colleen) of Berkley , Lisa A. Chretien (companion Louis Audet) of Fall River and Paul Chretien (wife Heather) of Commerce Township, Michigan; 5 grandchildren, Michael Chretien, Benjamin Chretien, Alexandra Brink (husband Alex), Aaron Chretien and Ariana Hopman (husband Bobby); Great-granddaughter, Carla and Trent, who referred to her as Memere; siblings Cecile Ponte and Arthur Bouchard; many nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Alfred T. and Beatrice (Ross) Bouchard and the sister of the late Beatrice Madore, Germaine Petit, Juliette Cadrin, Dianne Bouchard, Louise Slean and Paul, Alfred, Edward, Henry, Philip and George Bouchard.
Visitation will be held at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River on Thursday, April 30 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 1, at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Sienna Church, Little Compton (please meet at church) Reception to follow.
Burial will be private.
