Paula J. Souza

Paula J. Souza, 82, of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, formerly of Somerset, Massachusetts, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025.

She was a devoted wife to Paul Souza, her partner and confidant, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and laughter. As a member of the Westport Yacht Club, Paula found joy on the beach and the ocean.

As an avid reader, she found solace within the pages of countless books, eagerly exploring new worlds and ideas. Her love for shopping became more than just a pastime; it was a way for her to connect with those she loved and cherish memories that would last a lifetime. Yet, above all her hobbies and interests, it was her family whom she treasured the most.

Paula relished the joyous moments spent with her daughter and grandchildren and adored her great-granddaughter, instilling in them a sense of wonder and adventure.

Besides her husband of 57 years, she leaves a daughter, Stacey Phillips, her husband Charles and their children Camden Phillips and Paige Phillips and great-granddaughter Kinsley Gonzalez.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Mary (Medeiros ) Stasiowski.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, with a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Auclair Funeral Home, at 690 South Main Street, Fall River, MA 02721.

Burial to follow at Beech Grove Cemetery, Main Rd. Westport.
