Paula J. (Perry) Bohun, 76, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021. She was the wife of the late Richard N. Bohun, Sr. and the daughter of the late Pauline (Paul) Callahan and Casimir Perry.
Paula was born in Fall River and lived in the South End her whole life. As a child she loved sports and enjoyed her summers playing at Kennedy Park. She attended the Wixon School and Mount St Mary Academy.
Always energetic and hard-working, she had a number of jobs throughout her working career. Her first job was at the old Durfee Theatre. That and her most recent job, as a bus aide for children with disabilities, were the ones she enjoyed most.
She loved the outdoors and spent many happy days camping and fishing. She enjoyed travelling and often reminisced about her visits to Ireland and Canada. In the US her favorite destinations were in Florida. She was a huge sports fan and lived for fall to watch the Patriots, and recently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She was a knowledgeable baseball fan and of course supported the Red Sox.
Paula’s passion was for animals. She always had a beloved dog by her side. She leaves us all without a funny, courageous, opinionated mother, sister, aunt and friend. But always in our hearts.
She leaves two sons, Richard N. Bohun, Jr. Mark Bohun; a grandson, Jason; two sisters, Jackie and Joyce and several nieces and nephews; also her best friend and caretaker Carmel.
Arrangements are private.
